We opened our Preschool in 2014 and we are located in the newly refurbished Parish Centre of St. Matthias’ Church on Church Road in Killiney, Co. Dublin.  Over the past three years we have extended and now run 3 full classes in the morning and 1 class in the afternoon. September 2018 we opened our new Afterschool Club and now have almost 90 children attending the school.

We are open from Monday to Friday and we run both an ECCE and privately paid session from 9am -12.30pm and an afternoon ECCE session from 1.30pm - 4.30pm. Breakfast club is run from 8am - 9am and  lunch club from 12.30pm - 3.00pm. Afterschool pick-ups from local schools are at 1.30 and 2.30 until 6pm. Full-time hours 8am - 6pm.

Our mission is to provide a creative, interesting and enjoyable place for preschool children to learn in at their own pace.

By combining Montessori with play-based activities it allows children the freedom to choose what they learn and how they learn.

We are now registered with the National Childcare Scheme for those wishing to avail of childcare subsidies.

Eve Berea - Owner / Manager

I grew up in Blackrock and I am married with 2 young children. I enjoy cooking, arts & crafts and the odd bit of bargain hunting in my freetime.

After leaving school I worked in the retail sector in various managerial positions for 6 years but felt that it wasn’t the right career for me.

I decided to retrain as a Montessori teacher in 2003 having worked for many families with young children over the years and really enjoying it.

I completed a B.A. in Humanities in Montessori Education in St. Nicholas Montessori College in 2006. I have also undertaken various Special Needs training courses over the past few years.

I am Garda Vetted and First Aid trained also.
Since graduating, I have worked in Montessori schools, Primary schools, an International school and as a Special Needs teacher.

I decided to open Ballybrack/Killiney Montessori Preschool in 2014 as I had always dreamt of opening my own school. I love teaching the younger age group and seeing them grow and learn new things each day.
